I am an improvisational dance performer and choreographer from Orlando, Florida, land of the Tocobaga and Mikisúkî-Hitchiti people.

 

At the age of 16, I discovered Dance, and this discovery shaped not only my artistic path but also my commitment to being an advocate for people discovering their passion later in life. I am enthusiastic about dismantling traditional hierarchies in the dance world and corporate spaces in the hopes of fostering an environment where creativity can thrive without judgment.

 

Over the years, I have had the privilege of performing works choreographed by renowned artists like Dimitri Chamblas, Jacques Heim, and Alonzo King, among others. Each of these experiences has enriched my understanding of dance as a shared language that transcends borders and connects us all.

 

Some of my fondest memories include my travels and performances in places like the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City to the artistic hubs of Los Angeles and Paris, France. Among these includes my performances at the International COCO Festival in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, and the LEAP Dance Festival in Liverpool, United Kingdom where I experienced the joy of connecting with diverse audiences. 

 

I believe choreography is more than just crafting movement; it is about weaving together the threads of human experience. My journey as a choreographer deepened significantly when I became a Hicks Choreography Fellow, learning from incredible mentors like Dianne McIntyre and Risa Steinberg at the School at Jacob’s Pillow and later from Robert Moses. Those experiences have ignited my passion for creating choreography that pushes the boundaries of movement. Those experiences challenge me to create movement that invites the audience to reflect upon their own emotions and shared humanity. Those experiences have me question how do I blend freedom and form in a way that feels both organic and impactful. My most recent collaboration, “(fracture)d REFLECTIONS” that premiered at the Texas Dance Improvisation Festival in October 2025 is a testament to how those experiences may still live through me.

As a dedicated dance educator, I am passionate about fostering an inclusive and nurturing space for my students. I encourage them to discover their unique artistic voices, reminding them that dance is not just a skill; it’s a form of critical thinking that has the power to ignite conversations. In my classroom, students feel valued, respected, and inspired to embark on their artistic journeys. My teaching embraces a collaborative, experiential approach that utilizes mindfulness practices to help students deepen their connections with their bodies and cultural sensitivities.

 

I received my Associate’s degree in Dance Performance from Valencia College, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Modern Dance from the University of South Florida, and a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography from the California Institute of the Arts. With each step and every beat, I continues to strive for growth, both personally and as an artist, and I look forward to sharing this journey with others like you.
