A Life Journey by Honiball Joseph
"A Life Journey", Composed by @Honiball.Joseph founder of the @GilgameshFoundation for a solo performer, is an evocative exploration of the performer's personal journey. Utilizing a wide array of percussion instruments (and found sounds) distributed throughout the performance space, the piece encourages the musician to "live" their life of stage. Movement, improvisation, and the raw expression of emotions - from joy and love to struggle and loss - are integral to the performance. Interwoven with these sonic expressions are poignant recitations of the phrase "Gilgamesh, Where are you roaming?" adding layers of reflection and introspection to this unique and deeply personal work Performed 2/22/25 at The REEF LA in @magicboxla

Mercury
This male duet is performed by myself and colleague, Joe Zhang at the Sharon Disney Lund Theater @calartsdance . The concept of the dance stems from the context of getting to know a new person through simple communication and finding camaraderie in that person by simply just asking them questions.
