This is a group work that I choreographed during my undergrad at the University of South Florida. It is an investigation and research on oppression, both from external and internal forces. I received my inspiration from the film "The Great Dictator" and the iconic and climatic speech by Charlie Chaplain. I also was able to collaborate with musician and USF Master's graduate, Brett Copeland, where he composed the original track for this work.

AIKY: Pathways to Light, is an immersive dance performance that invites the audience to establish a sense of transcendence through the body. Performed by the students of the @calartsdance program at the Sharon Disney Lund Theatre @calartsofficial .

Ritual of Release is a performance that evolves through three distinct sections: Shadow Work, Flowering, and Full-Fledged Play. Derived from a single movement phrase that accompanies the performers in the last section, the piece uses that phrase as a framework to explore psychological and developmental themes of shadow work and the idea of reaching an optimum stage of development. By embracing improvisation within a structured format, Ritual of Release highlights the liberating potential of creative freedom in dance, sparking conversations about censorship and bodily autonomy. This Work In Progress serves as the foundational Lexicon of Movement for my artistic research. Performed @JacobsPillow , the movement was created through concepts of Numerology, Geometry, and Chakra theory. This demonstration begins with a series of weight shares that initiates the framework.

Tension… delves into the visceral experience of fear. Crafted from rhythmic and repetitive motifs, the piece evolves into an exploration of the tension between stillness and movement. This ensemble reflects the internal struggle to overcome it, inviting viewers to contemplate their own responses to fear.
